All the fun of the fair
A short series of Hipstamatic photos by Fiona Lascelles taken at Napier’s Marine Parade attractions over the summer. The retro aesthetic of the Hipstamatic was perfect for highlighting the faded glory of the fair. The film type is Ina 1969 with the Bettie XL lens, the one with the leaky seal, letting in random shafts of light, giving the feeling of accidentally opening the back of the camera exposing the film… amateur snapshot photography. Included also are shots of the outdoor roller skating rink, again a very retro styled activity.
